Join our growing tDescriptionPosition SummaryAs an Apprentice Controls Electrician you will assist in the installation ofcontrols devices on various residential, commercial, and industrialjobsites. You will work directly under a Journeyman electrician and gaininvaluable work experience. This position will provide you with the workenvironment necessary to apply the knowledge and skills you're learningthrough formal electrical apprenticeship training offered by the companythrough an independent source. In pursuing this position, you will gain twocareer paths: Electrician and Controls Electrician, the latter of which ishighly sought after. You will succeed in this position if you pay personalattention to safety, take pride in your work, and behave in a professional mannCO Pay Range: $18.00 - $29.00 plus potential profit shareResponsibilities * Assists in the installation of automatic control systems according tocompany temperature control installation procedures and to learn procedures. * Learns to install a multitude of control devices efficiently, includingconduit systems (EMT, GRC, PVC, etc.) copper tubing with solderjoints, plastic tubing and electric cable in a neat and efficient manner. * Becomes fully trained in the safe operation of all power tools, handtools, and instruments necessary for job completion. Appropriately andcorrectly wears necessary personal protective equipment and abides by all LONGand OSHA safety regulations at all times. * Does not attempt to perform any task or assignment without previousinstruction by a qualified individual and ensures that all installations areperformed in a neat, professional, and workmanlike manner to thesatisfaction of the Field Supervisor. Asks for instruction or guidance beforestarting any unfamiliar task or assignment. * Drives defensively and obeys all traffic laws including LONG safe driverpolicy (avoids all confrontational driving situations). * Attends and successfully completes the formal electrical apprenticeshiptraining offered by the company through an independent source and continues toattend product training and information seminars to improve knowledge andskills. * Cleans and maintains all assigned LONG tools, vehicles and machinery. * Reports directly to assigned job sites at beginning of each day (7:00am unless specifically changed by Field Supervisor). * Maintains a professional appearance, is punctual and generally helpful,and helps in other areas as needed including material delivery and handling.Required Qualifications * 2+ years' experience as an Apprentice Electrician * General mechanical and electrical aptitude * Basic mathematical and communication skills * Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions * Demonstrates flexibility in a changing work environment during the courseof a work shift * Availability to work overtime, varied shift hours, and out of town whenneededWorking ConditionsEnvironment: * Alcohol and Drug-free * Inside and outside work environmentsPhysical Requirements * Routine sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling * Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor * Ability to climb ladders and perform job duties at required heightsHazards * High, precarious places * Inclement weather possibleLONG Building Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.LOCATION: Colorado, Colorado SpringsSHIFT: FirstEXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-ExemptFULL-T
