AVI-SPL Audiovisual Installation Supervisor in Centennial, Colorado

Job SummaryAVI-SPL has a great opportunity available for an experienced InstallationSupervisor to join our team based in Denver. The Installation Supervisor isresponsible for mentoring and supervising the office installation workforce.This position will support the Operations/Installation Manager and serve asa field change agent to help improve overall communication and projectexecution and efficiency with Installation Technicians.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport all types of technical escalations from the field team and work withother team members on resolutions as neededConduct quality control visits during and post installation/commissioningand report findings to project team and managementConduct pre-installation site surveys as neededCoordinate and manage external activities including all out-sourced orsub-contract work in support of project installation activitiesAcquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectivesincluding, but not limited to: contractual, technical, schedule,construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scope of workActively participate in, and contribute to, process improvement initiativesPerform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limitedto: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metalfabricationRead and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprintsTravel to various job sitesMentor and coach Installation Technicians through their designated learningdevelopment plansOther duties assigned as neededSkills and AbilitiesAbility to manage and direct projects to completionAbility to lead with confidence and create alignment among management andattract and develop staff to create a team-oriented and collaborativeenvironmentAbility to direct a team towards a cohesive set of strategic objectives andmaintain efficient timelines in the completion of tasksProven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operationinitiatives with a results-oriented approachKnowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and controlExceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to balance multiple tasks with changing prioritiesAbility to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationshipswith people at all levels of the organizationSelf-starter capable of working independently and en suring to meet deadlinesAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to manage small to medium projectsMinor programming capability (AMX/Creston) - changes and troubleshootingValid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL drivingstandardsEducation and/or ExperienceMinimum High School Diploma or equivalentBachelor's Degree in Business or related field a plusDemonstrated knowledge and experience with construction or project managementtheory and practices preferredFamiliarity with AV or other electro - mechanical systems a plusExtensive experience developing and implementing business processes andstreamlining operationsExperience with planning, implementing and managing the activities of aninstallation workforce through recruiting, training, scheduling and bestpractices techniquesCurrent OSHA 30 certificationWorking EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative ofthose an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of thisjob.
