Job QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:- Must have and maintain a current Colorado driver's license.- Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.- Ability to communicate and work as a team.- Ability to climb ladders and carry materials up ladders.- Ability to access small and/or confined spaces to inspect andwork on equipment.Education or Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent required.Physical Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger or feel. Theemployee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms,stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit;climb or balance; talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/ormove up to 20 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds andoccasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Physically able to performdutieSuccessful completion of a post offer, pre-placement physical required.WAGE: Negotiable DOEDAYS/HRS,:Full Time with benefits Classified Position 260 day work calendarDESCRIPTION:Essential Duties/Responsibilities:- Examines school buildings and grounds, reports to MaintenanceDirector and assists inthe required repairs and maintenance.- Performs minor and major remodeling projects with professionalresults.- Performs electrical repairs and or replacements to the extentallowed by the StateElectrical Board.- Performs plumbing repairs and replacements as needed.- Performs regularly scheduled service work on all-mechanicalequipment as a part ofthe overall preventative maintenance program.- Have knowledge and experience preferred or willingness toobtain appropriateknowledge and skills in the following:a. Asbestosb. Asphalt care and maintenancec. Basic auto maintenanced. Boilers and their operatione. Furnaces and their operationf. Carpentry and building constructiong. Computer skillsh. Concrete forming and finishingi. Custodial skillsj. Electricityk. Fire protection equipmentl. Gases and other potentially hazardous elementsm. HVAC systems and their operationn. Horticulture and landscapingo. Paintingp. Plumbingq. Pumps and motorsr. Roofing and roof inspectionss.
