JOB PURPOSE: The Shop Foreman is essential to the success of our service department.As a Shop Foreman with Transwest you will be responsible for dispatchingorders to the appropriate technicians, making sure the work gets doneefficiently and opening & closing out tickets. As a leader, you will beresponsible for managing the technicians' work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Direct report to Service Manager * Directly supervise technicians. * Assist Service Manager in training personnel. * Carry out established policies and procedures. * Perform quality assurance activities as directed through qualityassurance inspections, random quality checks and training technicians inquality assurance. * Assist Service Advisor/ Service Manager in resolving customercomplaints and general customer relations. * Assist Technicians with mechanical diagnosis and performance. * Schedule, assign, and supervise work with the objective ofmaximizing the balance of quality, productivity, and profit. * Supervise maintenance of tools and shop equipment. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Advisor/ServiceManager. * Assist with Uptime updates as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: * Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weathersituations, at the shop division location. * Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending orstooping for prolonged periods of time. * Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach withhands and arms and lift up to 80 lbs. * Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery. * Normal range of hearing and vision. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 90days of employment. * Experience working in a heavy-duty truck dealership or independentshop environment is a requirement. * Journeyman Mechanic or Lead experience is a plus. * Knowledge of how a service shop operates is imperative. * Strong customer service skills, organizational skills and leadershipabilities are essential. * Excellent verbal and communication skills * Candidate must be a motivated individual who can work independently. * Detail oriented * Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment andPost-offer background check, physical and drug screening.Employer's Job# 3617_5000448434306Please visit job URL for more information about this opening and to view EOEstatement.
