Concrete Journeyman, FinisherPosition Title: Concrete Journeyman, FinisherFLSA Status: Non-Exempt, HourlyLocation: VailReporting Relationship: Concrete Foreman and/or SuperintendentPosition Summary:A Concrete Journeyman Finisher is responsible for the placement and finishesof concrete, including but not limited to: floor slabs, sidewalks,curbs and gutters. Finishers are required to complete work safely, withquality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman orsuperintendent.Essential Functions: Participate and collaborate with the crew during daily huddle to ensuresafety, quality and productivity goals are set. Verify form work and elevations Facilitate placement of concrete Consolidate screed concrete Demonstrate use of all concrete related tools Spreads, levels and smoothes concrete by performing all requiredfinishes such as trowel, broom, expose and stamp (decorative) Layout and perform all control and expansion joints Complete concrete repairs to plan specifications Understand and apply curing and sealing requirements based on jobspecifications Other duties as assigned by the Foreman or SuperintendentQualifications: 5 plus years of equivalent work experience Preferred ACI flatwork/finisher technician certificationRequirements: Attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness Conserves materials and meets productivity set forth by supervisors Observes all safety procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditionsand uses and maintains equipment and materials properly.
