Security Installer III (WD30099951253)What you will do As a critical part of the JCI Security team, the Security Systems Installerworks onsite with our customers to install, set up and program their JCISecurity systems. Requires understanding of core and third party fire /security products, software and systems / electrical technology. TheSecurity Systems Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment whennece How you will do itInstalls appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment asrequired. Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, lossof unused materials and cleans up installation debris. Adheres to safetystandards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard toemployee and subcontractor safety. Assists in performing required commissioning documentation. Provide accurateinformation for as-builts documentation. Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures. Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properlyestablish service. Assists in monitoring project execution per plan. Reports problems or changesto supervisor or management. Maintains appropriate local and National Fire / Security IndustryCertifications. Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.Continuous proactive customer interactions including an in-depth understandingof customer(s) needs wants and systems currently in place. Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directionsof supervisor. Completes paperwork and on site documentation as required. Performs self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtaintechnical proficiency on required products and application. Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsWhat we look for 1 to 2 years of industry experience or Electronics certification from anaccredited technical school. High school diploma or G.E.D. Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner. Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service. Ability to travel up to 70% of the time. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company tocustomers and other outside contacts. Basic computer skills. Attention to detail. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
