Fire Service Technician (Experienced) (WD30097153191)What you will doJohnson Controls Alarm Service Technicians Receive service calls from ServiceResource Center, including a brief description of equipment/systemmalfunctions. Responsible to contact customer representative and ascertainequipment/systems problems. Diagnose problems and perform service andrepairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building systemproducts at customer sites. Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures andrefer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins,modification notices, etc. to repair equipment. Service, troubleshoot andinstall many different manufacturers' Fire .and. Life Safety systems includingJohnHow you will do itRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specificationssoftware/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.Exhibit superior customer service skills by consistently communicating withthe district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction. CompleteService Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices suchas smart phones and laptop computers. Obtain customer signature upon completedservice call assignment. Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation. Trainand mentor junior members of service team. Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsWhat we look forRequiredSix to eight years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems,including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, andPaging systems.Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, andoperational/product manuals.Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, andcommissioning devices.High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipmentand tools up to 50-70 lbs.Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbingladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working withinducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etcAbility to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customerrequirements.Overnight travel may be required.Demonstrate a high level of customer service.Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines andprocedures at all times.Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learnquickly.Fire Alarm LicensePossess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets companyrequirements.Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.Retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.Completion of SimplexGrinnell Basic F\A, 4100ES .and. 4120 Network training.What else you'll getSupportive team environment, mobile device, laptop, company vehicle.
