Familiar withgeneral maintenance tasks including (but not limited to) hangingpictures, office equipment, repairing plumbing fixtures, and replacementof light bulbs. Familiar with JCAHO, OSHA, NFPA regulations and any otherregulatory agency relating to compliance for a Healthcare Environment.ResponsibilitiesPOPULATION SPECIFIC CARENo direct patient care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of thefollowing essential functions. These examples do not include all of thefunctions which the employee may be expected to perform.Assignments such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC,safety, and other miscellaneous duties in the maintenance field.In the event of an equipment failure, team member must troubleshoot anddiagnose the problem and take corrective action to fix the piece of equipment.Keep track of all preventative, scheduled, equipment failures within thepreventative maintenance program to begin to set trends and history onequipment and warranty compliance.Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining safe and clean machine rooms asassigned by the Manager.The ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, and meteringdevices associated with various maintenance tasks.Other InformationSCOPE AND LEVELGuidelines: Guidelines are generally but not always clearly applicable,requiring the employee to exercise judgment in selecting the most pertinentguideline, interpret precedents, adapt standard practices to differingsituations, and recommend alternative actions in situations without precedent.Complexity: Duties assigned are generally complex and may be of substantialintricacy. Work assignment is performed within an established framework undergeneral instructions but requires simultaneous coordination of assignedfunctions or projects in various stages of completion.Decision Making: Exercises judgment and discretion, and is responsiblefor determining the time, place and sequence of the work performedCommunications: Contacts with team members, clients or the public whereexplanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, defended, andgathered and discretion and judgment are required within the parameters of thejob function.Supervision Received: Performs work with minimal supervisory oversight.Under general supervision, the employee receives assignments and is expectedto carry them through to completion with substantial independence. Work isreviewed for adherence to instructions, accuracy, completeness, andconformance to standard practice or precedent.
