Do you want to be part of our growth story?ASSEMBLER II - AURORA, COLORADOpurposeResponsible for following procedures for product assembly, equipmentoperation and safety requirements. Build exceptional products for on timeshipment to meet customer quality and performance exceptions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust demonstrate proficiency in all Assembler I job requirementsMust be proficient with the Red Tag process for non-conforming partsMust be proficient with and able to utilize 2-bin and Kan Ban systemsMust be able to understand/follow works instructions, standardized workand quality checkpointsHave basic understanding of Warehouse Management parts locationMust be proficient and certified with electrical ground test procedures(Hi-Pot)Must understand and properly interpret standard work instructions and where tolocate themMust be capable of assembling two or more stations at standard rateMust understand torgue settingsOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESOther duties assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred orequivalent combination of education and experience.Experience12 to 18 months assembly experience.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with hand tools is preferred but not required. Employee mustdemonstrate proficiency on the following tools within 90 days;Hand / air screw driver, nut driver, tape machine, adjustablewrench, cable tie gun, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hammer, handand air ratchet, needle nose pliers, torque wrench, torque gun,knife, scissors, tape measure, ring pliers, vice grip, vice, handpress, hose cutter, tap, banding machine, rivet gun, lift table,air chunks, air impact, stapler, foam gun, nail gun, heat gun, electric drill,Ability to work around heavy machinery and fork lifts.Operate and drive machinery.Language SkillsAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in Englishand recognized similarities and difference between words and between series ofnumber. Ability to print and speak simple sentencesMathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units ofAmerican money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly requiredto stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequentwalking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability toadjust focuWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works nearmoving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
